David McNicholas is an Ecologist at Bord na Móna. David works on the implementation of the Peatlands Climate Action Scheme (PCAS) in line with Bord na Móna’s accelerated decarbonisation strategy, to provide enhanced peatland decommissioning, rehabilitation and restoration measures targeting circa 33,000 hectares in over 80 Bord na Móna bogs. David also coordinates and conducts rehabilitation measures at a number of Bord na Móna bogs as part of the LIFE IP Peatlands and People project.  This includes trialling new techniques in the revegetation of post-industrial peatland rehabilitation.
